as if/tough意为“好像;仿佛”，引导表语从句，方式状语从句等。用陈述语气说明事实或可能发生的事，   也可以用虚拟语气说明与事实相反的情况或不可能成为事实的情况。如：   She looks as if she were ten years younger.   她看起来好像年轻了十岁。

be made of是可以看出由什么材料制成，be made from是不能直接看出由什么材料做成的。如：   This book is made of paper and the paper is made from wood.    这本书是由纸做成的而纸是由木头制成的。
