第一节 情景作文

During the final examination, LiMei seemed to have diffculty in working out the problems and meanwhile Zhang Hua cheated without being noticed/ caught, A few days later, the graded papers were returned. LiMei couldn't help crying because of her poor result while Zhang Hua was pleased with his high marks. From then on Li Mei made greater efforts in her studies than ever before, but Zhang Hua didn't listen to the teachers attentively any more. In the end, LiMei was admitted into a good university while Zhang Hua failed, regretting cheating and not working hard on his own.

第二节 开放作文

(1)In my opinion, keeping fit and strong is very important for us senior 3 students. Only when we are in good health can we do well in our studies. So no matter how busy we are preparing for the college entrance examination, we should keep on doing physical exercise at least 30 minutes every day.

(2) I don't think it is a must for a student of senior 3 to have sports every day. It depends on whether you have time. Since the college entrance examination is drawing near, spending more time on our lessons is more important than taking exercise. I will spare no effort to get high marks.

第一节

Text 1

W:It's too difficult for me to keep up with my classmates.

M: You should play less and study more, I'm afraid.

Text 2

W: I'm sorry I'm late for work, Mr. Brown.

M: This is the second time you've been late this week. If you're late once more, I'll fire you from my shop.

Text 3

W: The light will be turned off in a quarter of an hour.

M: What time is it now?

W: It's ten fifteen.

M: That's OK. It's enough to get everything ready.

Text 4

W: I wonder if you have some change, I want to make a call.

M: I would like to lend you some change, but I have only three coins, and I need them for my bus fare.

Text 5

M: Where did you and John go on vacation?

W: We spent four days in Vienna, one week in Paris, and five days in Rome and we had a two-day delay in Geneva before we went to Italy.

第二节

Text 6

M: What does our programme look like for tomorrow?

W: Let's see. You're meeting Bill Lyons at ten in the morning, and all the paper work is ready, then a trip to the National Lab at 3 p.m., and at 7 in the evening, we'll have dinner with Mr. Cooper, the manager of LG Company.

M: Another busy day. But please don't plan anything for Saturday. I'm going to watch a baseball match with my family.

Text 7

M: Hello, it's...it is Carol, isn't it?

W: Oh, Mike? Oh, my goodness! I haven't seen you for ages!

M: Nice to see you again after all these years. What have you been doing?

W: Well, I tried many things after we left school. I'm now working for a large oil company, uh, in charge of sales mainly. So, I travel a lot.

M: Oh, that's great! You must really enjoy that.

W: Oh, I do. Yeah, it's exciting. It's quite tiring, though. But, um, what about you, Mike? What do you do?

M: I work in a law firm. I'm practising business law, you know.

W: Oh! That's interesting.

M: Yeah. I'm happy doing what I do.

W: Good.

M: Anyway, it's great to see you .We must get together sometime.

W: Yes, we should. Look, give me your address and phone number. Um... I've got my book here...okay. And then I'll give you a ring and we can fix something up.

M: Right! Well, it's...

Text 8

M: Did you get to talk about their trip to the Caribbean?

W: Oh, yes. They said they had a great time.

M: What did they say the weather was like?

W: They said it was cool. They suggested that we take some warm sweaters and coats.

M: Did you ask how the hotels were?

W: It seemed they were excellent, and not expensive.

M: That's what I've heard. How about communication? Did they say if they had any language problem?

W: Yes. Language was sometimes a problem. They told me that hardly anyone spoke English except for the people in the hotel, but they found the staff of the hotels very helpful and friendly.

M: Well, that's good. And did they buy much while they were there?

W: Just some toys. They said not to buy clothes in the Caribbean. They were much more expensive than in the States. But they told me you could get gold jewelry for very little.

Text 9

M: Have you noticed a lot of differences between your country and ours?

W: Well, that's a difficult question, but I can think of a few. People here dress quite differently, because the weather is warmer here. We wear winter clothes half the year thick trousers and warm sweaters. Here people dress more fashionably. Everyone looks well dressed.

M: Is clothing expensive in your country?

W: Yes. It's more expensive than here.

M: Do you find it easy to talk to people? Can you make friends easily?

W: Oh, yes. It's easy to meet people here, even if we speak different language. People are the same everywhere. They worry about the same things. They worry about the cost of living and about the future of their children.

Text 10

Good afternoon, and welcome to England. We hope that your visit here will be a pleasant one. Today, I would like to draw your attention to a few of our laws.

The first one is about drinking. Now , you may not buy alcohol in this country if you are under 18 years of age, nor may your friends buy it for you.

Secondly, noises. Enjoy yourselves by all means, but please don't make unnecessary noise, particularly at night. We ask you to respect other people who may wish to be quiet.

Thirdly, crossing the road. Be careful. The traffic moves on the left side of the road in this country. Use the crossing for walking and do not take chances when crossing the road.

My next point is about litter. It is against the law to throw away waste material in a public place. When you have something to throw away, please put it in your pocket and take it home, or put it in a litter bin.

Finally, as regards smoking, it is against the law to buy cigarettes or tobacco if you are under 16 years of age. I'd like to finish by saying that if you require any sort of help or assistance, you should get in touch with your local police station, who will be pleased to help you. Now, are there any questions?
