美国国际教育协会IIE刚刚发布的《2016年门户开放报告》披露了2015-2016年在美留学的国际生最新数据。数据显示，2015/2016年留美人数再创新高，首次突破一百万，达到1043839人，比上一学年增长7.1%。

我们先看看中国方面的数据。

2015-2016学年，中国依旧是美国最大的留学生生源地(中国已连续7年是最大生源国)，同比增长8.1%，达到328547人，占美国留学生总数的31.5%。

这32万多中国学生，有41.3%是本科留学生，37.5%是研究生留学，15.9%是OPT(比去年增加21%)，5.3%是其他。这也是连续第二年，赴美读本科的中国学生人数多于读研学生。

2015-2016学年，中国留学生给美国经济贡献了114.3亿美元。

In the 2015/16 academic year, 328,547students from China were studying in the United States (up 8% from the previous year). China remains the leading place of origin for students coming to the United States for the seventh year in a row, comprising31.5% of all international students studying in the U.S.

Academic Level: The U.S. continues to experience a growing number of undergraduate students from China and a new upsurge of recent graduates undertaking Optional Practical Training (OPT). In 2015/16, 41.3% undergraduate; 37.5% graduate students; 5.3% other; 15.9% OPT (up 21% from last year).
