The day I got home from the hospital，my plaster cast was pure white．It went from my wrist to my shoulder, and every time I looked at it I felt creepy．It finally hit me that I had a broken arm．

Betsy thought Bob and Rita had the wrong idea，so she wrote her signature in tiny letters near my elbow．Esma called Rita，Bob and Betsy copycats．“All they wanted to do was sign their names，”she said as she wrote a poem．

The next day, I met Larry and Eduardo on the way to school．Larry found some space on my cast to write，GET WELL SOON．Eduardo wrote，sound SOFTBALL TEAM MISSED YOU．After many days there was no room left Oil my cast．

And then a funny thing happened．When I read all the names and notes on my cast．I was no longer sad about my broken arm．I was reminded of the wonderful friends I have．
