Henry(monitor): Paul is absent. He's sick.

Miss Green:All right. Sit down, Henry. Let's begin our class.

现在进行时主要用来表示正在进行或发生的动作。其一般形式为：主语+be(is/am/are)+动词的现在分词(即动词的ing形式)。

场景二 上学

Paul:Hello, Henry.

Henry:Hi, Paul.

Paul: I missed the class last week. Would you please help me with Lesson 2?

Henry: Sure, I would.

Paul: Thank you.

Henry:That's OK. Please open your book and turn to page18. Let's read the dialogue first.

Paul: OK.

一般过去时通常表示过去发生的动作或存在的状态。其一般形式为：1.be动词的一般过去时：主语+was/were; 2.实义动词的一般过去时：主语+动词的过去时。
