get down to our business这个习语直译过来就是：“开始认真处理我们的生意”，也就是说：“言归正传，谈正经事”。因此，当美国人说"Let's get down to our business."时，他/她要表达的意思就是:"Let's talk about our business seriously."、"Let's focus on the subject."、"Let's pay our attention to the main topics."。
