本课是Unit 4最后一个教学内容,属于阅读课。课文的内容是关于电在生活

里的运用,是对Reading A的一个拓展。根据学生在单元前面内容的掌握情况,我们这节课的教学思路是:首先,学生口头回顾电的来源、电进入各家各户的流程、电可以转换的能量形式;然后,学生带着一个问题去阅读课文第一段,找出中心句(电为人们的生活带来便利和快乐);接着,学生阅读全文,找出电具体为我们的生活做了那些事(找出动词完成句子)并全面理解文章意思;最后,学生根据表格复述文章大意。如果时间允许,学生还可以结合生活实际谈谈如何节省用电(用上must,mustn’t,也是对Language的一个复习巩固)。

本课教学指导学生运用跳读找中心句,细读找具体信息的阅读策略。并充分发挥More Practice 这课的复习功能,帮助学生回顾整个单元的中心话题,并且达到深入、细致表达的作用,对本单元的话题有进一步的输入和输出。

重点:

1. 掌握并能够运用以下单词:invention, convenience, almost, hard, imagine, failure, electric, traffic, lift, electrical

2.能够采取跳读和细读的策略理解文章中心和细节信息,能根据表格口头复述电在人们生活中的作用,最后是提出节省电的建议。

3. 通过小组活动提升与人团结合作的能力。

难点:理解名词形容词当做动词来使用
